William Fitzsimmons: Finding Home

I ran across this documentary of William Fitzsimmons a few days ago entitled “Finding Home,” which documents his most recent tour.   If you love William Fitzsimmons, you’ll enjoy watching it.

If you’ve never heard of William Fitzsimmons, trust me, you’ll love William Fitzsimmons.

Anyway, give it a watch if you like good songwriting and great music.

You can pick up his music here, here, and here.

Balmorhea – Live in a Little Room. With Angles.

I found this video today over on Balmorhea’s MySpace page and thought it was pretty cool. If you like neo-classical music with an experimental edge, then you’ll probably like Balmorhea. If you’re not sure, give them a listen. Listening to them makes me feel like i’m in some sort of movie set in an old west Texas town. It’s beautiful stuff.

So now, without further ado, Balmorhea:

William Fitzsimmons, “If You Would Come Back Home”

Just saw a link over at Pitchfork Media to a new music video from William Fitzsimmons – “If You Would Come Back Home,” directed by Josh Franer.

The song comes from Fitzsimmons’ latest record, The Sparrow and The Crow, which is excellent.  I like the video, too. If you like what you hear, consider picking up the cd or buying it online from Amazon or on iTunes.

A Simple Explanation of the Credit Crisis.

Reading through my feeds this morning, I came across an excellent post from the My Money Blog, linking to an informative video explaining exactly what is happening to cause the credit crisis we’re now facing.

Some of you might already know this stuff, but the video breaks everything down so that it’s easy to understand. It’s worth a look.  Check it out below.

[Edit: Apparently, there’s a part 2, as well.  I’m sticking it below.]
