Crisp mornings, cool evenings, leaves beginning to change.  It&#8217;s raining today; everything is green-come-colorful outside, and there are drops on the windows.  It&#8217;s a wonderful sound in the background as I work the day away.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wendell_Berry\">Wendell Berry<\/a> morning, for sure.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Like The Water<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Like the water<br \/>\nof a deep stream,<br \/>\nlove is always too much.<br \/>\nWe did not make it.<br \/>\nThough we drink till we burst,<br \/>\nwe cannot have it all,<br \/>\nor want it all.<br \/>\nIn its abundance<br \/>\nit survives our thirst.<\/p>\n<p>In the evening we come down to the shore<br \/>\nto drink our fill,<br \/>\nand sleep,<br \/>\nwhile it flows<br \/>\nthrough the regions of the dark.<br \/>\nIt does not hold us,<br \/>\nexcept we keep returning to its rich waters<br \/>\nthirsty.<\/p>\n<p>We enter,<br \/>\nwilling to die,<br \/>\ninto the commonwealth of its joy.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Autumn doesn&#8217;t officially start until Saturday, but we&#8217;ve been having a preview here in Charlottesville for the past week or so.
